Wahoo, or “Ono” in Hawaiian meaning “good to eat,” is a relative of the mackerel family and has a stonger taste similar to swordfish. It does well with cooking preparations meant for lean fish. Its firm texture and large flakes make it a great choice for grilling. Ono is delicious crusted in macadamia nuts or marinated in a ginger, soy, and garlic sauce.
