Ingredients
2 yellow rock crabs (1.5 lbs each)
Water
2 tablespoons salt
1/4 cup Old Bay seasoning
2 bay leaves
Directions
Add water, salt, Old Bay and bay leaves to a large pot. Add enough water so that the crabs will be submerged. Bring to a rolling boil.
Add crab, head first, into the boiling water and cover. When boiling, cook for 7-8 minutes. Their shell will start to change color and their flesh will become opaque.
Remove crab and run under cold water to cool.
Serve with lemon wedges and butter.
Recipe Note
Tip: Freeze the leftover shells for shellfish stock.
